About Us
The Chase Fit Walking Scheme is a community walking scheme that runs walks in the Cannock Chase district. This website provides information of walking groups, walking routes and activities to get everyone walking.

There are a variety of walking groups around the district that use the green, open spaces and the Area of Outstanding beauty that is Cannock Chase to walk in.

As well as the various walking groups across the district, the website all so provides guided self led walks. These give you clear instructions and images of the routes. Enabling you to navigate your away around our green and open spaces.

Our walks have the aim to increase all aspects of people’s wellbeing. By getting out in the fresh air, in touch with nature and having a good chin-wag.

Chase Fit tries to ensure that we have walks that suit everyone. We use four different levels to depict types of walks.

Please note that all walkers participate at their own risk.

We advise is you are concerned about your health / or answer yes to any of the following questions you seek medical advice before participating.

  • Has your doctor ever said that you have a heart condition and that you should only do physical activity recommended by a doctor?
  • Do you feel pain in your chest when you do physical activity?
  • In the past month, have you had chest pain where you were not doing physical activity?
  • Do you lose your balance because of dizziness or do you ever lose consciousness?
  • Do you have a bone or joint problem (for example: back, knee or hip) that could be made worse by a change in your physical activity?
  • Is your doctor currently prescribing drugs (for example water pills) for your blood pressure pf heart condition?
  • Do you know of any other reason why you should not do physical activity?
